Niche Artist in Residence

A program to help support local artists

The 2023/2024 Niche Artist in Residence

Erin Dengerink

You can see a mural by Erin Dengerink in the entrance way of the wine bar. The painting is an impressionist colorful forest that wraps around the space and includes a hidden crow. It is an excellent place to sit for a moment or take photos with friends. Look up to see the night sky ceiling painting.

Dengerink’s painting Tossing the bones is also on display. The paint is done with watercolor and oil paint on Yupo paper, it shows her evocative style of portraiture. A collection of the artist's Niche prints are available for purchase. Each unique print is hand colored and embellished. There are no two alike. You can also bring home one of her small sculptures. Each sculpture is wrapped in tissue and the artist asks that you allow the element of chance to decide which sculpture you receive. You may take the first wrapped piece that you touch or allow Leah, Josh, or Reid to select one for you. Those miniature artworks are meant to bring joy and good luck. More paintings, prints, sculptures and events will appear throughout the year.
